What is Guns of Eschaton?

Guns of Eschaton is a first-person soulslike shooter set in an apocalyptic Western, developed by Eschatology Entertainment and published by 4Divinity. The Old South has burned, and the frontier is now a haunted landscape of ruined settlements, impossible machines and factions drawn from real mythology.

Combat is deliberately slow. You study enemies through a hand-drawn Cherokee Codex, load the right bullet for the right monster, parry on a read instead of a reflex, and treat the revolver cylinder as a row of consumables. More than twenty 19th-century firearms, custom ammunition and three sacramental paths carry the build layer, while the whole campaign runs solo or in co-op with shared progression.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions players ask before they buy, answered with what the store pages actually say.

8 December 2026, on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The date was revealed at the Galaxies Autumn 2026 Showcase. Pre-orders are live on both consoles; on PC the Steam page offers a wishlist button only.

Yes. The demo has been on Steam since 5 October 2026 and stayed up after Steam Next Fest ended. It covers roughly one to three hours and includes the Eye Angel boss plus a shop at Hounds' Camp.

Two. The announcement trailers and the console store listings describe two-player co-op with shared progression, so a partner keeps their own story progress. PvP invasions can be switched off if you want to stay solo.

Xbox lists cross-platform multiplayer and co-op inside the Xbox ecosystem. Crossplay between PC and consoles has not been announced, so treat the two pools as separate until the publisher says otherwise.

$49.99 for the Standard Edition and $59.99 for the Pay to Lose Edition on PlayStation. Both are 10% off while pre-orders last, and the Pay to Lose Edition also unlocks 48 hours early.

Minimum is a GTX 1070 or RX Vega 56 with 16 GB of RAM, and the store page marks an SSD as required. Recommended is an RTX 3070 or RX 6700 XT. Install size is 45 GB.

No disc version has been announced. Both console storefronts sell the Standard and Pay to Lose editions digitally, and the official site links only to those listings.
